Greetings from Australia. Do you know the brilliant story, The Emperor's New Clothes? A vain emperor is tricked by two swindlers, who promise to make him invisible clothes that they claim only wise people can see. Horrified that he can't see them, he gushes and pretends to, so they don't think he's a fool. Everyone else pretends too — until a child blurts out, “He’s not wearing anything!” The emperor realizes the truth but continues his procession in shame.
Does this feel familiar? Is this not the current leadership of the free world, having somehow convinced millions into believing him? Like many I've been baffled since 2015. But here we are. Until the tide turns, apart from RESISTING, how on earth do we stay sane? I love books especially literary fiction, making music, songwriting. But promoting is a whole other thing! Who needs music at a timelike this? Well I do. We do. I can't pretend horrible things aren't happening to innocent people. But on the other hand, logically nobody, nothing, not even a dictatorship can steal our souls. I have a song along this line...
